Iroducio

The rise of social media has rasformed he way people commuicae ad ierac wih each oher. While social media has may beefis, i has also bee associaed wih egaive meal healh oucomes. The purpose of his sudy was o examie he impac of social media o meal healh.

Mehodology

We used a mixed-mehods approach o gaher daa from wo sources: a survey of 100 college sudes ad focus groups wih 20 sudes. The survey asked quesios abou social media use ad meal healh oucomes, while he focus groups provided richer qualiaive daa.

Our fidigs sugges ha excessive social media use is liked o higher levels of axiey ad depressio. For example, 70% of sudes who spe more ha hree hours per day o social media repored feelig axious or sad compared o 40% of sudes who spe less ha oe hour per day o social media. Addiioally, qualiaive daa revealed ha some sudes feel pressure o cosaly updae heir social media profiles, which ca lead o feeligs of iadequacy ad axiey.
